My Prayer

My Prayer.

Break me of the strongholds that try to hold me back,
Give to me the strength I need, for that is what I lack.
Take my hand and lead me, along the path I’m meant to tread,
Fill me with your spirit so high I can hold my head.

Take away the fear that once controlled my life,
Give me peace and joy so I can give my life,
With courage to face what you want me to do,
In everything bringing glory to you

Show me the way that you want me to go,
And teach me everything I need to know,
To be the light, and show the way
To those in the dark, who have gone astray

Teach me to be humble, compassionate, and kind
Show me how to focus, to keep your will alone in mind,
Hold my hand and guide me, lead me walk beside me,
Guide my footsteps along my path; never leave me in the dark,
Be the light and show the way
To guide my life from night to day,

Jesus, you are everything to me.
Please show me how to be, just how you made me.
